II.2.4) Description of the procurement: Plus Dane Housing (PDH) intends to enter into a contract with a single service provider for a period of 5 years, to provide external audit services. The contract will commence in January 2020, with the first year end being 31 March 2020.
The audit must be carried out in accordance with auditing standards, the relevant SORPs, and comprise such examination of the statements, underlying records and control systems as is necessary to reach an opinion of the financial statements.
The external auditor should report on significant weaknesses in accounting and internal control systems in a management letter, and review the board’s statement on internal controls. A comprehensive report should be prepared and presented to the Audit & Risk Committee and/or Board(s) as required.
The external auditor will also be required to report on other returns required by the Regulator of social housing, Homes England, lenders or other stakeholders as required as part of the service delivered
